After the opening speech of YB Dato’ Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah, Minister of Finance II, and YB Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, former Prime Minister of Malaysia, several members of the delegation participated in the panels of KLIFF. 30 speakers took part in a roundtable discussion on the issue of ethics in finance, applied especially to Islamic finance, in the presence of Laurent Lemarchand, Charge d’Affaires of France a.i.
Discussions were based on presentations made by Prof.. Mohammad Hashim Kamali, CEO of the International Institute of Islamic Studies, Dr Mohd Daud Bakar’s, President of the Shariah Advisory Council of the Central Bank of Malaysia, and Dr Dhafer Saidane, lecturer at the University of Lille.
